Returns & Guarantee Policy

The company Metron Automation S.A. (VAT 099430812) based in Serres, GREECE, hereinafter referred to as SUPPLIER, is committed to providing high quality products and services to its customers. All products sold by Metron Automation S.A. have a guarantee of good quality and operation and meet all safety standards and quality certifications required. This policy includes all the terms and conditions that apply to all products purchased from the Supplier and determines the terms and conditions under which you can request a return or replacement of a product.

Terms of Warranty Policy

Metron provides 2 years warranty for Complete Elevator Systems, Doors (Automatic and Semi-Automatic), Cabins, Panels and all Elevator Accessories, starting the date of shipment based on the invoice document or shipping note. The automatic car doors of the BUS type “METRON” are covered by a 5-year warranty.

The warranty in both cases covers all electromechanical equipment provided that installation and maintenance is carried out by an authorized partner of Metron.

The warranty does not cover the following cases:

  1. Damage caused by fire, flooding, vandalism or sudden loss of power voltage.
  2. Damage caused by misuse, negligence, accident, poor storage or poor installation.
  3. Damage caused by corrosive environment, leakage of battery fluid, water misuse/replacement of material and/or modifications without the consent of the Supplier.
  4. Perishable materials such as (guide shoes, wheels, wire ropes, glass, etc.)
  5. Batteries and UPS.
  6. Damage caused during transportation.

During the warranty period, Metron is not responsible for any damage caused by the improper use or storage of the products by the customer.

Upon receipt of his products, the BUYER is obliged to inspect the total number of boxes received and their external condition for any obvious damage during transport and in case of damage-wear to note on the dispatch note-delivery note-CMR of the transport company his observations and notify the SUPPLIER to proceed with a claim for compensation to the transport company. Receipts without objections are considered approved and accepted.

In case of finding a defect that needs correction or replacement under the terms of this warranty, the BUYER is obliged to inform the SUPPLIER in writing. The relevant notice must be formulated in writing through the “Non-Compliance – Return” procedure by completing the Application Form for the Return Merchandise Authorization without any delay.

If during the warranty period, the products do not comply with the agreed terms, the SUPPLIER must correct the product failures at its own expense within a period not exceeding 1 calendar month from the written notice of the BUYER. Repair work is free of charge only when carried out at the premises of the SUPPLIER.

Terms of Return Policy

In case of finding a defective material, the SUPPLIER takes all necessary measures such as: reimbursement of the cost of purchasing the materials, in special cases and compensation of transport costs or free replacement of the material, provided that the material was returned with an approved RMA form.

Returned materials declared as defective will undergo a detailed technical inspection. If the SUPPLIER’s inspection team concludes that the material is not defective, the material will be returned to the BUYER with a minimum inspection fee of 20 euros.

The inspection team informs the BUYER about the repair charges and follows the instructions according to the customer.

The time to check the status of the returned material may vary depending on staff availability and the number of returns.

Terms and Conditions of Returns

The materials purchased can be returned and credited under the following conditions:

  • The material has not been used (except with the approval of the supplier).
  • The material has been returned in good condition and in its packaging

Return Procedure

1. Completion the “Return Merchandise Authorization” form

2. Approval of application by Supplier and receipt of approval number. (RMA Nr.)
3. Mark the approval number on the packaging and ship it to SUPPLIER.
4. Technical inspection and report by SUPPLIER.
5. *The sender undertakes all costs to the return
