Project Description

The Aix-en-Provence Bus Station serves more than eight million passengers a year, with 1,300 intercity and 600 city buses passing daily.

Architecturally, its 20 docks are arranged in a series of metal arches designed by architect Jean-Marie Duthilleul and the Arep team. The station holds one of the largest public areas in France with a length of 210 meters and 21 million euros were invested in its creation.

To optimize the user experience with safety, Metron designed an outdoor panoramic lift that welcomes travelers with its unobstructed views of the entire bus station, acting as a natural extension of the urban environment.
